Lyan Packaging is a family owned business with over 30 years of expertise in bespoke packaging solutions, from initial design concept right through to manufacturing. Thier mission is to make their customers' operations as productive and stress-free as possible in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
Lyan approached JC Creative to redesign and develop their entire customer backend product management system and associated website.
The main objective was turning thе complex process of customer orders, purchase history and payments a simple and smooth action, ensuring customers recieved a seamless journey and full exposure into their purchase history. The system also includes the cross-selling of new products and special offers in order to provide further exposure and ultimately increase revenue.
The project was segmented into two phases so that the UX/UI phase could run in parallel with the architecture definition. This enabled the project to commence in earnest within a week of being allocated the project. We began by facilitating a UX workshop with Lyan's marketing manager to explore their core strengths and ambitions for the new portal.
It was essential to oversee the existing website flow and processes involved to determine whether this could be improved and how the new sections would incorporate into the existing setup. A series of website flows were created to pre-set a high level overview of the flow and how each customer section links together.
Piece by piece, wireframes were sketched and created in a digital form to represent the structural ideas we had for the portal. The structural elements of every project are so important to enable the user to locate and engage with the portal in line with their requirements. Once these were completed it was them time to apply the branding in order to provide a consistent UI look that delights users.
The new customer portal is a huge improvement over their old platform, with a modern and refreshing design & easy to navigate layout.
